Privacy Policy
What Daily Game Arcade stores: no account needed, optional Google sign-in, no analytics scripts. Signed out, a round sends only its scores and a random ID.

The short version
Daily Game Arcade is a site of free browser games. You can play without an account. The games save your best score and play history in your own browser. When you finish a RareGuess round, the round's score is sent to us without your name or any account, so we can show what share of players you beat. Creating an account is optional: it lets you keep your streaks and scores across devices and compare with friends, and it means we store the details listed under "Accounts". Multiplayer rooms send what you type in them to our server so the other players can see it. The site also uses a few small cookies, described below.
What stays on your device
Each game saves your best score in your browser's local storage, so it can show "Your best" the next time you play. RareGuess also keeps your logbook (rounds played, streak and past scores) and your game settings there, plus a random player ID made up by your browser (described under "Round scores" below). If you play multiplayer, your browser also keeps a separate random player ID and a random key that proves the player is you, plus the name and picture you picked.
The site also keeps your scroll position in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.
Apart from the player ID sent with a round score, and what multiplayer sends when you join a room (see "Multiplayer"), these stay in your browser and are not sent to us unless you have an account.
Round scores
When you finish a RareGuess round, your browser sends us the round's score, the points for each of its 7 prompts, which round it was (for example the Daily 7 for a given date, or Endless dive #12), and the random player ID. We store these to count how many players scored lower than you on the same round, and show that as "Better than X% of players" with a chart of all scores. Only the first score from each player ID on each round is counted.
The player ID is a random string created in your browser the first time you finish a round. It is not your name, email or account, and we do not store your IP address with it. The scores are kept with no fixed end date, because the comparison for each round uses all of them. If you clear this site's data, your browser makes a new player ID; we have no way to link old scores to you.
Cookies
Your browser sends cookies back to our server with every request to Daily Game Arcade. The site sets these:
PARAGLIDE_LOCALEholds the display language ("en"). Our server reads it only to choose which language to show.- If you arrive from another website,
first_referrerrecords the address of that website (without anything after a "?"). If the link you followed had campaign tags,utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_termandutm_contentrecord those tags. These are kept for 30 days. Our code reads them only when you create an account, and saves them with the account (see "Accounts"). - If you sign in, a session cookie keeps you signed in until you sign out or it expires.
Deleting what is stored
You can delete everything stored in your browser at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the games still work; they just will not remember your best score.
Your answers
In solo games, the answers you type are checked inside your browser against the answer list that comes with the page. Without an account they are not sent to our servers; a round score carries only the points, not the words you typed. If you are signed in, your accepted Daily 7 answers and score are saved to your account when you finish, so your friends can see them (see "Friends").
Accounts
An account is optional. If you sign in with Google, Google sends us your name, email address and profile picture, plus sign-in tokens that we keep with your account; we never see your Google password. If you sign up with an email address instead, we store your name, email address and password (only in a scrambled, hashed form). Either way we also store, at sign-up, the language your browser asks for, the country and IP address our server sees for that request, and the campaign tags and referring website from the cookies above. Each time you sign in we also store your IP address and browser type with that sign-in session. We store your RareGuess streaks, scores and dives played, a friend code, and your multiplayer rating. When you sign in on a device that already has scores, we ask before adding them to your account.
To delete your account and everything stored with it, email us from the address you signed up with.
Friends
When you add someone with their friend code or invite link, you both become friends. Your friends can see your name, your Daily 7 score and your accepted answers for each day, but only after they have finished that Daily 7 themselves. People who are not your friends cannot see them. You can remove a friend at any time.
Multiplayer
When you join a multiplayer room, our server receives your player ID, the key, your name, your picture, your rating, and the answers you type while it is your turn. Everyone in the room sees your name, picture, rating, hearts and accepted answers. If you host a public room, your name is shown in the public room list. Without an account, your multiplayer rating is stored on our server under your browser's player ID. Room records are kept after the game ends.
Analytics and tracking
We do not currently use any analytics, tracking, or advertising scripts on Daily Game Arcade. The only visits our server counts are the ones described at the end of "Information sent with every web request".
Advertising
There are no ads on Daily Game Arcade today. We plan to show ads from the advertising network Adsterra in the future to keep the games free. Before any ads appear, we will update this page to say which ad network is used and what information it collects.
Information sent with every web request
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages receive the technical information your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the address of the page you asked for. This is needed to send the page to you. When a round score arrives, our server uses your IP address only in memory, for a moment, to stop the same address sending scores many times a second; it is not saved.
If you arrive by following a link from ChatGPT (chatgpt.com), our server saves the address of the page you opened (without anything after a "?"), the time, and whether the page loaded, so we can count how many visits ChatGPT sends us. Nothing that identifies you is saved with it: no IP address, browser details, cookie, player ID or account.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use them to read and answer your message.
Changes to this policy
When we change how Daily Game Arcade handles information, we update this page and the date at the top.
